Beasley Broadcasting has tweaked its pair of Rock stations in Fort Myers, FL.
Classic Rock “96 K-Rock” WRXK has shifted to Hot Talk. Bubba The Love Sponge remains in mornings from 6 to 10am. Zito & Garrett shift from mornings at sister Modern Rock “99X” WJBX to middays on 96.1. Stan & Haney remain in afternoons from 2pm to 6pm. The station picks up three syndicated shows to round out the schedule. Lex & Terry from 6pm to 10pm, Nick DiPaolo & Artie Lange from 10pm to 1am, and John & Jeff overnights.
The aforementioned 99X tweaks musically to Active Rock as it changes its branding to “Southwest Florida’s Rock Station” adding in harder songs and more 90s Gold.
96Krock has always been the home for classic rock and entertaining talk in Southwest Florida. In the early 90’s when Joe, Stan and Mark Haney did mornings, we saw that listener’s responded positively. In the late 90’s – 2004 Howard Stern did mornings, creating a huge following. Over time we have found Southwest Florida listeners really enjoy entertaining talk, so beginning Monday that’s what 96Krock will provide, and just up the dial, the exclusive home for all rock in Southwest Florida, 99X.
