East Valley Institue of Technology CHR “90.7 The Goldmine” KVIT Apache Junction, AZ will be expanding its coverage in the Phoenix market.
The High School owned station is teasing on its website that it will add a second transmitter from the South Mountain tower farm targeting downtown Phoenix on May 1. While no station was identified, multiple signs indicate 92.7 K224CJ will be the second signal for the station.
92.7 has rebroadcast Sierra H’s “101.1 The Beat” KNRJ for the past few years. That station recently completed a signal upgrade making the translator not as necessary for the station that at one time branded 92.7 as the primary signal. 927Goldmine.com was registered last October and already redirects to KVIT’s website.
Longtime Phoenix market stalwart Bruce Kelly serves as Operations Manager for KVIT.
