As ownership of the station prepares to change, 103.9 WJRL-FM Fort Rucker/Dothan, AL has gone dark.
WJRL-FM was sold by Southeast Alabama Broadcasters to Gulf South Communications in December for $260,000. It will replace 93.7 WDBT Hartford in the Gulf South cluster after that station moves into the Montgomery market and completes its sale to Brantley Broadcast Associates.
The remainder of the Southeast Alabama Broadcasters cluster was leased to Jones and Mulé Communications in mid-December. With 103.9 WJRL-FM going dark for financial reasons as specified in its STA application, the programming of “Rock 104 Dothan” has moved to 100.5 WLDA Slocomb. The move replaces the Urban “100.5 The Beat” programming the station had featured.
