Clear Channel has broken up the “Wild 92.5/105.7” simulcast in San Antonio.
While the Rhythmic CHR format remains on 105.7 K289BN San Antonio, 92.5 KRPT Devine has flipped to Classic Country “92.5 K-BUC“. The station will focus on Country hits from the 70’s through 90’s.
Sister “KJ97” KAJA PD Travis Moon will program the new station with KAJA morning host Randy Carroll serving as the imaging voice of K-BUC. 925KBUC.com was registered earlier today but is not yet live.
The KBUC call letters have a long history in San Antonio on many stations, but most famously for the Country format on 1310 and its then sister 107.5. Since 2005 the calls have been held by “Super Tejano 102.1” Raymondville in the McAllen/Brownsville market.
The previous “Wild 92.5/105.7” simulcast debuted in September 2012 replacing Conservative Talk on the 92.5 frequency, which rimshots San Antonio from the southwest.
So 92.5 never flipped to all-comedy, huh?

This frequency has as much stability as 105.1 in New York used to have.
