Blair Garner will step down as host of Premiere Radio Networks “After Midnight” on July 31.
Garner, who debuted as host of Cumulus’ “America’s Morning Show” at “94.7 Nash-FM” WNSH New York last month, had been pulling double duty on both shows. His departure should open the door for Cumulus to begin rolling out his morning show nationally.
Premiere will temporarily fill Garner’s spot with Country artists. Carrie Underwood will host on August 1 and 2 before other hosts take week long guest spots. Jason Aldean will handle the week of August 5, followed by Luke Bryan, Charles Kelley and Dave Heywood of Lady Antebellum, and Jake Owen.
In a press statement Jennifer Leimgruber, Premiere Networks EVP of Music Programming commented “Premiere Networks has had a successful relationship with Blair Garner for many years and we wish him all the best with his new program. We look forward to announcing a new host for After MidNite in the near future. In the meantime, we’re excited to welcome the biggest stars in Country music as they put their stamp on After MidNite and help us celebrate this special milestone.”
