Cox Media Group has hired CBS’ “103.3 Amp Radio” WODS Boston Program Director Dan Mason as Operations Manager of its Tampa cluster. Mason will also serve as Director of Branding and Programming for CHR “Hot 101.5” WPOI.
Mason will oversee operations for AC “Magic 94.9” WWRM, Alternative “97X” 97.1 WSUN, “Hot 101.5“, Hot Talk “102.5 The Bone” WHPT, Soft AC “105.5 The Dove” WDUV, and Classic Hits “107.3 The Eagle” WXGL.
Cox Media Group (CMG) Tampa has named Dan Mason as Operations Manager for WSUN-FM 97X, WPOI-FM HOT 101.5, and 102.5 The Bone WHPT-FM, effective Sept. 8. Mason will also serve as HOT 101.5 WPOI-FM’s Director of Branding and Programming.
“Dan’s approach to programming is firmly in line with ours,” said Keith Lawless, CMG Tampa’s Vice President and Market Manager. “He is a welcome addition to our team, and I am confident his contributions will help us continue to compete and win.”
Previously, Mason served as Program Director of CBS Boston’s 103.3 Amp Radio (WODS). Other career highlights include Program Director for 107.9 The End (KDND) and Star 106.5 (KBZC) in Sacramento, Y100 in Miami and 96.5 Kiss FM (WAKS) in Cleveland.
