KFWB Los Angeles will launch its new local lineup on Monday, September 22 as the station officially debuts its identity as “The Beast 980“.
The Beast will feature former UCLA and Clippers basketball player Marques Johnson and former Fox Sports anchor Jeanne Zelasko in mornings from 5:30 to 9:00am. CBS Sports Radio’s Jim Rome will follow from 9am to 12pm. KNBC-TV sports anchor Fred Roggin follows from 12-3pm. Afternoons will be hosted by former NFL Tight End George Wrighster and former KFMB San Diego host Brett Winterble. LA Sports Today will follow from 7 to 9pm and a delayed airing of CBS Sports Radio’s Doug Gottlieb will air 9-11pm. The Beast will air CBS Sports Radio’s live programming overnight.
KFWB is also the flagship station for the Los Angeles Clippers and will carry all primetime NFL games on Sunday, Monday, and Thursday nights and NCAA football and basketball play-by-play from Westwood One.
