Three of Kerby Confer and Donald Alt’s broadcast holding companies are merging.
Forever of PA, LLC, Keymarket Licenses, and Forever Broadcasting LLC will merge into FM Radio Licenses, LLC. The combined company will own 45 stations and 1 translator in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia including Forever’s stations in Altoona, Johnstown, Meadville/Franklin, New Castle, State College and Keymarket’s stations in Pittsburgh and Uniontown, PA and Wheeling, WV.
The FCC filing states estate planning as the reason for the merger. Following the closing of the transaction on December 31, ownership of FM Radio Licenses will be split as such:
34% – Judy Alt Irrevocable Trust (Donald Alt, Trustee)
22% – Kerby Confer Granted Annuity Trust (Kerby Confer, Trustee)
18% – Judith Confer Irrevocable Trust (Kerby Confer, Trustee)
10% – Carol Logan
10% – Lynn A. Deppen
6% – Alt Dynasty Trust (Judy Alt, Trustee)
Confer and Alt will continue to hold shares in three other companies not involved in this merger. Forever Communications, Inc. owns seven stations in the Bowling Green, KY market. Forever South Licenses, LLC owns five stations and a translator in Jackson, TN. Burbach of DE, LLC owns ten stations and a translator in Clarksburg and Parkersburg, WV.
