Just Dance is now an AC recurrent; it's a former "AC Top 40" hit. I'd say, blame Katy Perry. When Hot and Cold made it to the AC airplay chart, a lot of people said that a "limit" was broken. The Lady GaGa songs on the AC listing may be deceiving, though. "Old fashioned" AC stations aren't playing them. "Lite Rock" stations are (such as WFPG, Atlantic City). Could it be that B101 is moving away from "Soft AC" to the "Lite Rock" formula? It would make sense in a way -- to head off another station from attempting to hurt them with a borderline-Hot AC. We're seeing a massive migration of talk radio to FM; I wouldn't be surprised if in the next few years a large percentage of FM stations have some kind of talk or talk-oriented format. I wonder if this wave of FM stations going talk has to do with a proposed regulation that would force radio stations to pay artists (as well as songwriters) when they play music. While he played 15 years with the then-Los Angeles Rams, and went on to costar in the TV series "Little House On The Prairie" and "Father Murphy", Olsen was best known as a TV football analyst. He spent a decade as NBC's lead NFL analyst, working for most of that time alongside D**k Enberg. If my memory serves me correct, Olsen worked five Super Bowls for NBC, the first with Curt Gowdy and the other four with Enberg. "Percentage 50+ in age: Limbaugh:51%, not 67%" Note here that my remarks was "Limbaugh’s national listener average is a 67 year old white male w/high school education. " Either you misunderstand the difference between -percentage- and an age median..or..you are being purposefully deceptive. "Arbitron: Since 1991, Limbaugh has had the most-listened-to radio talk show in the United States...." The term; "most listened too"- is a marketing tool and means little in actual business terms. The -facts- are that Con-Talk stations often bill substantially less than straight new ot music formats in most markets -even with comparable 6+ shares. In 2003, he peaked with an audience of nearly 20 million a week. His audience share peaked in 2003 not the mid 90’s. HIs share has declined a litlte more than 25% not 40%. There’s more competition now. But he’s still #1 by a large margin. The thing I’ve always found interesting about liberals is they don’t care about facts since facts usually interefere with the truth. That's because a dispute between WABC and Cablevision has resulted in the station's signal disappearing from affected cable systems. At this writing (3 P.m. EST), there's little chance of some sort of agreement that would restore WABC to those subscribers. Both sides have issued rather nasty statements with Cablevision blaming Disney (ABC parent) CEO Bob Iger. I suspect WABC will follow with an attack on Cabvlevision founder Chuck Dolan, who although no longer CEO (it's now his son James), is still considered the "real power" at the company.
