DJPT-UK on "Sonos 1.0.27"

I'm using Sonos 1.0.27 by John Burnill (http://www.burnill.co.uk/) and hoping to use it on an Internet stream I'm looking to set up shortly. Has anyone got any presets they could share with me?

This is how the audio flow is set up on my PC;

OtsDJ > onboard soundcard > Audiophile 2496 line-in > Sonos 1.0.27 > Audiophile 2496 line-out > amplifier

I am struggling to get close to the sound that I'd like - could the way I have the audio set up (as above) play a part in this? I am using linear .WAV files ripped directly from CDs, I do not use any OtsDJ processing.

Many thanks in advance.

This sounds very interesting... http://www.bandwidthdaddy.com - they give you a decent rate for streams and add free station IDs, 24/7 weather forecasts and a free utility stream (which I like) for remotes, events or connecting talent from distant locations.

We use streamgeeks.com and shoutatme.com for our four iTunes radio stations. and are very happy. Though this looks pretty neat.

W.O.L.D will play WABC new airchecks not played yet will play on Friday April 25th at 12 Noon ET on W.O.L.D, N.Y. (music segments restored)

May be followed by a WMCA aircheck depending on if I get it ready in time for Friday.

Looks like Fridays are becoming Airchecks day. LOL Well, we'll see if there is enough listener response first before making this a regular feature or just doing this a special event. Thanks!!
Tunedex Memories proudly plays "the Honor Roll of Hits" 24/7, but our "loyal listeners" are anxious for the return of our "specialty" shows. I'll be announcing a new schedule soon for:

Stay Tuned For:
The Innocent Age • Chuck Benjamin
Teenage Memories • Frank Kramer
Record Roundup • Steve Petryszyn
Echoes of the Past • Kenny Schreiber
Songs You Should Have Heard • Chuck Benjamin

The Innocent Age--Hosted by Chuck Benjamin
Songs You Should Have Heard- Hosted by Chuck Benjamin

Most of us grew up listening to "Top 40" radio stations. On my shows, you will hear many of the songs that hit between 41 and 100 on the National charts. You'll be surprised at how many you'll remember. Since the purchase of a 45 rpm record was fairly costly for most of us, you'll appreciate the fact that I flip many of those records over so we can recall the "Fabulous Flipsides" of our record collections. I coined the phrase "Songs You Should Have Heard" on my very first presentation of the Innocent Age. They are songs that have the sound and feel of the songs you grew up with. They were every bit as good as the songs that hit the charts, they simply didn't get the airplay.

Teenage Memories--Hosted by Frank Kramer

How difficult would it be to decide what songs to play on a two hour show when you have 130,000 45's to choose from? That's the dilemma Frank faces each show. He picks the cream of the unplayed crop and does not discriminate. You'll hear "teener" songs, doo-wops, rockabilly, instrumentals and the current rage of collectors, Northern Soul. Factor in Frank's 20+ on-air experience and you won't want to miss a show!

Record Roundup-Hosted by Steve Petryszyn

Steve's credentials include hosting almost 50 Regional Record Conventions over a 20+ year span, and providing the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum with an original poster from the first Alan Freed concert. Because Steve is our youngest host, you will probably visit the 70's a bit more than our other shows, but his play lists are sincere and heartfelt; brimming with the love and enthusiasm he has for music.

Echoes of the Past--Hosted by Kenny Schreiber

A native New Yorker with one of the largest doo-**** collections on the East Coast, and a veteran of over 12 years of shows on the air in Baltimore is reason enough to tune in to this show. Ken is now retired, but we have his entire library of shows, and re-broadcast them, many for the very first time on the Internet. If you like street corner harmony, you will LOVE Kenny's show!

I am planning to air EVERY show multiple times during the month so audiences in different time zones around the world can listen.

Our first Tunedex Memories specialty show will be a tribute to "Tom from Garfield Heights" one of our original "loyal listeners". Every third song you hear will be a favorite of Tom's. We congratulate Tom on his comeback from cancer surgery.

I wish the developer of SQRsoft's Advanced Crossfader plugin would update the code to work in the latest winamp versions 5.x They are so buggy now and crash almost every time. I had to use the directsound output built in and just turn the audio cutoff to like 26db. Not as smooth as an actual crossfade but listenable. Any good alternatives for a plugin crossfader like the sqrsoft one?

Thanks,
there's a DirectShow filter that allows you to load any winamp plugin into many DirectShow players (like windows media player)
http://ftp.brawijaya.ac.id/windows/mult ... dshow/dsp2 dshow-20020930.exe

but i would recommend just installing the lastest ffdshow
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video ... odecs_and_ filters/ffdshow.cfm
which will also register a DirectX plugin (ffdshow Audio Processor) that you can use in Audition (or whatever) which can load Winamp DSP plugins.

As for your iPod, nobody has really developed anything for that platform that I know of, but I would still consider checking out Rockbox.org and see if yours is supported because it does add a lot of features you will love. And of course you can create your own plugins for it.
