Unlike WECK and WLVL WHLD has a better signal and will take on more successful shows. The flip will come in January. WBEN in Buffalo comes to mind...it&#39;s no coincidence that as soon as they dump a popular local host for a syndicated national one spouting the same-old, same-old, they lose their #1 position. </p> <p>2)Stations that still try to be live, local and connected to their target audience in all dayparts do well. WDKX in Rochester comes to mind. With one of the weakest signals in the metro, they dominate 12-34 and came in #2 overall in the most recent book. If they had a full-market-coverage class B signal they&#39;d clearly be a dominant #1. As it is they&#39;re one of the strongest stations in town where it counts...</p> <p>There are object lessons here.
