Seems like it. Since Tom Joyner isn't under contract with Premiere Radio Networks, & instead under Radio One, I believe this has something to do with it more than ratings itself. They were looking to drop Tom Joyner from V-103 at least one other time. The one time I know of, was when the contract to syndicate the show on V-103 was up. CC had considered not renewing the contract to air his show.

I see no one posted it on this site. Anyway, V-103 drops Tom Joyner, and moves Steve Harvey from WGCI to V-103. For those who like Tom Joyner, this is a sad day for them, as CC decided to drop his show, and I'd be surprised if snother station picks up his program. I don't see Crawford picking up his program since Soul 106.3 has a weak signal, and he doesn't fit in with Power 92's format. Besides, Power 92 wants to stay local for the morning drive.

Full story here. At least for those who want to listen to his program here will have to migrate to the internet. They'll have to go to tomjoyner.com to listen to his program.

In my opinion this is bottom-feeder radio. Many chiefs and few Indians...meaning the place is basically ran by the family. Larry (aka Boss Hogg as he is referred to) is still there...but is trying to step back for his kids...which causes conflict...one family member telling staffers to do something only to be countered by another family member. IMHO...the GM is a figurehead role...the family pulls the strings and micro manages. Boss Hogg is someone to stay away from in my opinion...only heartache and frustration will come working with them. Nice enough facilities considering the marketsize...but, IMHO it is the inmates running the asylum.

Anyone have recent dealings with Nelson Multimedia(WJDK-FM, WSQR-FM, WCSJ-AM/FM, WSPY-AM/FM)? Is Larry Nelson still calling the shots or has he retired? Is the staff treated well (compensated...etc...yes, I know it is small market)? What is the GM Beth Pierrelike...good to work for? Feel free to email me if you don't want to post here.
CBS has the top of the hour, 6 minute 'cast and a headline update at :31.........WLUV & WROK both run the :00 news. I don't think that's allowed contrary to the multiple nets ABC has.

BTW, Papa Joe says he has a contract with CBS and 50 mile protection but has been screwed over by networks in the past because he has no Arbitron numbers. He could sue(after all he's got the $$$).

I meant to ask this the other day... We ran the story on the medical chopper crash near Aurora up here in Madison, WI and they said the chopper clipped a radio tower which caused the crash.

So whose tower did they hit?
