In a move common elsewhere, but not in Boston, the sound portion of a local TV newscast will be simulcast on a radio station in the same area.
The TV station is WCVB-5; the radio station is WWZN-1510; and they will simulcast WCVB's 6 A.M. and 5 P.M. weekday newscasts beginning on September 17th.
