Norsan Media has announced the acquisition of 92.1 WJXR Macclenny/Jacksonville, FL from WJXR Inc. for an undisclosed price. The sale will see the end of WJXR’s 30 year old “Bargain Channel” Shopping programming on Wednesday, December 31 at 10:00pm when Norsan begins operating the station via LMA. The shopping programming will live on Oldies “102.3 The Beach” 1600 WZNZ/102.3 W272CQ Jacksonville from 7-9am and 4-6pm. To comply with market cap limits in Denver, Sports “104.3 The Fan” KKFN Longmont will be placed in the Pikes Peak Trust run by Elliot Evers for divestiture to a third party. The remainder of the Lincoln Financial Media stations will begin to be operated by Entercom via Time Brokerage Agreement on January 15 or two days after DOJ approval of the deal, whichever is the latter of the two. During the TBA and until the actual sales close, Entercom agrees to not change any formats on the to-be-acquired stations. Original Report: Delmarva Broadcasting is expanding its holdings in Wilmington, DE with the purchase of Urban “Kiss 101.7” WJKS Canton, NJ and Gospel “Faith 1510” WFAI Salem, NJ from QC Communications. The two stations will join a Delmarva cluster that includes CHR 93.7 WSTW Wilmington, Country 103.7 WXCY Havre de Grace, MD and News/Talk 1150 WDEL Wilmington. Salem’s Pennsylvania Media Associates license holding company will pay Disney $1.3 million for 990 WDYZ Orlando. The acquisition will join Salem’s trio of Conservative Talk “660 The Answer” WORL, Christian Preaching 950 WTLN, and Business Talk 1520 WBZW in the Orlando market. WDYZ operates with 50kW daytime and 10kW nights.
