Adelman Broadcasting is purchasing 98.5 KGIL-FM Johannesburg, CA from Mount Wilson FM Broadcasters for $110,000. KGIL-FM, which currently simulcasts “Go Country 105.1” KKGO-FM Los Angeles, will become Adelman’s seventh station in the Ridgecrest, CA market. Catholic station operator Real Presence Radio is acquiring 89.9 KQFR Rapid City, SD from Family Stations for $200,000. Real Presence currently owns six stations and two translators in North Dakota. The Julia Cherry Living Revocable Trust purchases silent 1590 WPUL South Daytona, FL for the assumption of debt. Station Sales Week Of 4/24

Station Sales American General Media and Hutton Broadcasting are swapping signals in the Santa Fe, NM market. Hutton will send Spanish Adult Hits “Juan 102.9” KLBU Pecos to AGM for “Radio Lobo” 94.7 KKIM-FM Santa Fe, which currently simulcasts 97.7 KLVO Belen/Albuquerque. The deal gives Hutton a much more powerful signal in Santa Fe as 94.7 KKIM-FM is a 100kW Class C1, however the deal may also help American General Media in the adjacent Albuquerque market as the 3.7kW Class C3 signal of KLBU is on the same channel as AGM’s Albuquerque translator 102.9 K275AO. Bustos Reacquires WDDW Milwaukee

Bustos Media will pay $1 million for WDDW according to the FCC filing of the acquisition. Original Report 4/22: Adelante Media continues its divestiture as it sends Regional Mexican “104.7 La Gran D” WDDW Sturtevant/Milwaukee, WI to Bustos Media for an undisclosed price. Bustos Media previously owned WDDW prior to the group transferring many of its assets to Adelante in 2010 as the group’s creditors took over the group. Last year Bustos reacquired Adelante’s nine stations in Washington State for $6 million. Adelante has since divested its Boise, Central California, and television holdings leaving it with just 1 AM and 2 FMs in the Salt Lake City market left to divest. Bustos will immediately begin operating WDDW via LMA.

Station Sales Amidst rumors of an acquisition by Alpha Media, Morris Communications is making an asset exchange in the Palm Springs market to remove a potential loss of a grandfathered asset. Morris will exchange Sports “Fox Sports 1270” KFSQ Thousand Palms, CA to Sunnylands Broadcasting for 95.5 KCLZ Twentynine Palms. Morris currently leases KCLZ from Sunnylands to rebroadcast Rock 93.7 KCLB Coachella and will lease back 1270 after the exchange closes. 95.5 KCLZ is technically part of the Victor Valley market allowing Morris to not lose any of its grandfathered holdings following a sale. Mount Wilson FM Acquires KIDD Monterey

At the end of 2014, Buckley Radio turned off “ESPN 630” KIDD Monterey, CA with the station’s towers subsequently knocked down. KIDD will receive a new lease on life as Buckley has sold the license for the station to Mount Wilson FM Broadcasters for $50,000 completing the exit of Buckley from station ownership. Mount Wilson will be need to file for a new transmission facility for KIDD before bringing it back on-air, which both groups will work together to get an STA filed within the next thirty days. The $50,000 purchase price includes a two year non-compete against the Buckley principles. Pete Falconi and Carl Strube’s Port Broadcasting will begin operating Aruba Capital Holdings’ Classic Hits 1540 WXEX Exeter, NH/92.1 WXEX-FM Sanford, ME via LMA effective immediately. The WXEX combo will join Port Broadcasting’s 1450 WNBP/106.1 W291CC Newburyport, MA and 1220 WWSF/102.3 W272CG Sanford, ME in creating full coverage of the New England coast from the Massachusetts/New Hampshire border up to just south of Portland. Roger and Nancy Anderson’s Southwest Media is converting its LMA of CHR “Hits 106” KFSZ Munds Park/Flagstaff, AZ from LKCM Radio Group into a purchase for $491,000. Operating as Great Circle Media, the buyers own five other stations in the Flagstaff market. Mark Jorgenson’s ACM Dallas is purchasing 700 KHSE Wylie and 990 KFCD Farmersville, TX in the Dallas/Fort Worth market from Barnard Dallas for $475,000. Jorgenson also is adding James Crystal Radio’s 1480 KBXD Dallas to his holdings in the market as part of his $5.5 million purchase of that company’s stations out of bankruptcy. James Crystal Bankruptcy Update

Update 4/7: Jorgenson is paying $5.5 million for the four James Crystal Radio stations. He began operating them via LMA on March 3. Update 4/4: It had been fairly quiet since the auction of the four James Crystal Radio stations took place on March 2. Now we know via Tom Taylor Now that the credit bid by Atalaya Capital was the only bid for the stations, which will soon be transferred to a new group headed by auction broker Mark Jorgenson. Leighton Acquires Ten In Minnesota

Leighton Enterprises is purchasing ten stations in two Minnesota markets from Jerry Papenfuss for $9.5 million. The stations are located in the Fergus Falls/Perham, and Winona markets and operate under the KAGE, Inc., and Result Radio, Inc. names. The acquisitions will nearly double Leighton’s current radio holdings which consists of twelve stations in Grand Forks, ND and Detroit Lakes and St. Cloud, MN.
