Oh, thanks. I could only see t.co and wp.me and didn’t know what that was.
Those are URL shorteners used to give Tweeters a few extra characters to write their statements. As I curate every link that appears on the @RadioInsight account I can 100% ASSURE YOU that every link we tweet is safe.
According to Twitter on the right side of this page.
I don’t go to unfamiliar sites at home so I’ll leave it to someone else.
You do realize that it’s a link to the primary news portion of THIS VERY SITE, no?

This is how the forum looks on my new Windows 7 computer running IE10:
The site looks fine in IE11, but IE11 has bugs and new “features” I don’t like, so I’d prefer to stick with IE10.
It looks like your browser isn’t loading one our CSS files to style the page correctly. If AudioGuy’s…[Read more]
Thanks for all the info, the reason I was curious; because HFS has a good following in the Baltimore metro and since they moved from a strong signal at W248AO 97.5, they are now on flea power W285EJ 104.9, WLIF tower. With a reason for the audience to go over to WWMX HD-2 for HFS, because 104.9 is unlistenable in many areas, why…
I think this thread has reached its limit as it has basically just become a back and forth of he said/he said.
If there’s a reason to discuss the merits of the translator’s move to 94.7 in terms of coverage or if something newsworthy happens with the station feel free to start a new topic, but time to close this thread.
The other day, New Rock 101.9′s Facebook page posted a link to Cumulus Radio’s website, urging us to help them get back on the FM dial!!!! “Drop a dime, give us airtime!” This could be a sign of good things to come!!!
That Facebook page has no official connection to the former 101.9 formats or any past or future radio station. It’s just…[Read more]
There are two guarantees in this deal.
1) The format will not be country. I doubt Womens World Broadcasting would LMA the signal to someone who would compete with them. (They are moving South 107′s format to 93.5)
Women’s World does NOT operate South 107. The station is currently operated by Rome Radio Partners, who are the…[Read more]
The usage of “WBZ” in branding, though, may get him a slap on the wrist. It’s not illegal for the WWBZ calls to be used, but the WBZ name qualifies as a brand, doesn’t it?
Exactly. We wouldn’t be having this discussion if they were positioning as “700 WWBZ”.
Lance What about the call letters KHJ its been used…
Oldies/Classic Hits won’t happen as it’ll hurt The River, I think CHR can be ruled out too. Urban?
Cox currently has three of the top 4 stations in the market with WSB, Kiss 104.1, and B98.5. The company is known for duplicating what works in one market and duplicating in others where possible and that leaves two possibilities for…[Read more]
They need to put the HD2 channel that plays lite rock standards.
Which would hurt B98.5
How about all of those former 92-9 Dave FM to put a AAA music back to Atlanta
Would share some audience overlap with the River.
Radio 105.7 is suppose to be straight alternative but alternative has morphed into AAA…
Also the CBS WBZ is id as CBS Boston Site
No Way can the CBS audience get confused with that WBZ.
1030 WBZ can be heard in the Orange/Athol area. And WBZ-TV is carried on cable systems as it is considered part of the Boston TV market.
Think of it like this. On the main intersection in your town is a McDonalds. You decide to…[Read more]
Wouldn’t CBS be better off retaining the News format on 780 and launching a new format (perhaps with the Cubs games) on 105.9?
The other issue is that I cannot think of a format that CBS could launch on 780 OR 105.9 that wouldn’t hurt one of their existing stations.
The biggest musical opening is likely for a Rhythmic Hot AC along…[Read more]
Lance I thought WBBM All-News is in the top 10 for most revenue in 2013 along with other CBS all-news O&O’s like WCBS-AM and WINS-AM. I don’t think WBBM all news signals are wasted at all and WBBM is in the top 5 spots in Chicago.
Is it wasted if you can still have WBBM billing as it is and then have an additional frequency…[Read more]
Well WBBM only cares about overall ratings Why would CBS want separate ratings for 105.9 and 780 AM. CBS Only cares about overall ratings for WBBM All-News as long as it attracts ratings and revenue.
Ratings are only used to drive revenue. The question becomes can CBS make more money with News on one signal and another format on…[Read more]
I cannot pinpoint to an actual date, but it likely happened in late September 2000.
Emmis announced to closing of its acquisition of the stations on September 26 – http://www.emmis.com/press/Story.aspx?id=1316509
The call letter change from WXTM to WMLL was made on October 10, 2000
WCHI, WWTF Lexington, WBBD Wheeling, and WLRX Huntington were among stations Clear Channel dumped the network on to get it to a certain amount of affiliates and nothing more.
The Comedy format has had mixed results in PPM markets. In Austin, it had decent ratings success on Emmis’ 102.7 translator but they were unable to sell it before flipping…[Read more]
I think your logging in just coincided with my fixing the issue. I was marking some recent registrations as spam in the backend and for whatever reason it took the whole site off as being a spam account. I’ve never seen that happen before, but now I know to be on the lookout for it next time I clean out the spam registrations.
Sinclair is just playing political games here. While they will turn in the licenses of the three stations, they simply intend to move the content of the stations lock, stock, and barrel over to their MyNetworkTV affiliates in both markets.
From the letter by FCC Commissioners by Ajit Pai and Michael O’Reilly regarding the decision:
So what has…
