    There is a list dated 12/4/2010 (hard to believe that’s over 3 years ago – time does fly!) that listed most of Clear Channel/iHeartRadio’s stations and accompanying streaming URLs. It is basically a snapshot of the iPhone iHeartRadio listing as of that time (a frozen moment without updates). It is arranged somewhat in order by station name.

    List link: http://pastebin.com/YYamKGgr

    There is now an updated list that might (?) be put out by iHeartRadio itself. I’m unsure if the old “iheartradio.com” URL that this new list uses is still in use by iHeartRadio itself as they’ve been using just “iheart.com” for awhile, promoting themselves as more than just “radio”. Again, a snapshot of the iPhone iHeartRadio listing – although this list may have a chance of being updated as it goes along (not frozen in time) if it indeed is put out by Clear Channel/iHeart (to be determined).
    This list is mercifully arranged alphabetically by station/stream call letters.

    The updated list link: http://www.iheartradio.com/cc-common/iphone/station_list.xml

    For example, the first station on the updated list has the call letters “ASR-FL” – Air Chicago – Chicago Airport Info with Smooth Jazz” with the streaming URL (copy/paste only):

    http://wksc-hd2.akacast.akamaistream.net/7/710/234608/v1/auth.akacast.akamaistream.net/wksc-hd2

    This list will have to do as a repository of CCM+E/iHeart streaming outlets/accompanying URLs since the formulaic URL that could be used to find an individual outlet’s streaming URL has recently been taken down by iheart. That URL formula (that no longer works) was
    http://www.iheart.com/a/live/station/XXXX (XXXX being the outlet’s numerical iHeart station ID).

    This new thread is in relation to the thread in this forum titled “Clear Channel HD-2 Channels”
    linked here: http://radioinsight.com/community/topic/clear-channel-hd-2-channels/

    So, are you saying the list or the URLs are different for iHeartRadio on other platforms? Or do you think iHeartradio is exclusive to Apple?

    Apple groupies remind me of one of those fundamentalist churches which think they are the only ones going to heaven. Except Apple groupies think every thing is iSomething, nothing else exists. For the record, there are more of us on Android and nobody sits in Cupertino telling us what apps we are allowed to use.

    I see that not much changed in the URL structure prior to iHeartRadio, except for the rtsp:// was mms:// as they were streaming in Windows Media. That was in 2007.

    I remember I had to resolve the URL to a IP address and type the address in to get around the corporate firewall. Those were the days. :-) I still have that channel listing somewhere around here…

    +1; only I'd consider them to be more of a cult than a fundamentalist church. (Just saying.)

    I was only pointing out that it was an iPhone list because:

    1. the term “iPhone” appears in the URL of the new link I provided;
    2. the term “iPhone” appears occasionally on the older list I provided;
    3. the term “iPhone” appears occasionally in the song tags that scroll in a media player’s window when one of the iHeart stations is accessed.

    So, apparently, I deduced that the lists were concocted from an “iPhone” list of some sort.
    Yes, the URLs can be used in most any media player and likely any type of phone application.
    Yes, obviously the iHeart URLs are not exclusive to iPhone or any other phone application.

    I am not affiliated with any technology company and am not an advocate of any company’s particular systems.
    I’m just trying to report the facts as I know, understand and deduce them to be.

    The URLs work great on my PC and Android media players.

    No, that station and some other stations (usually in smaller markets, Cincinnati notwithstanding) do not have a streaming URL listed, although they do stream via iHeart.

    There may be a few stations that don’t even stream via iHeart – I’d imagine there aren’t that many, if any.

    Another example of a sports station that doesn’t have a streaming URL but does stream via iHeart is 97.9 ESPN Hartford, CT (WUCS-FM) http://www.979espn.com/main.html
