Not every station carrying Michael Savage will move him to 3-6 P.M. Eastern Time. Some stations will stil run him on a delayed-broadcast basis.

There are two reasons why at least a handful of Savage affiliates will still air him on tape at night:

    (1) Some stations will still carry both Savage and Hannity, so Savage will likely remain on nights (via a tape-delay) with Hannity still live in afternoon drive.

    (2) Some Savage affiliates have local afternoon-drive shows and will keep those local shows in place and run Savage on tape. One major-market example is WRKO-680 in Boston, which has a local afternoon show hosted by Boston Herald columnist Howie Carr, which is supposedly their most popular and most profitable show. In the case of WRKO, I expect Carr to stay in his current slot, but I can see Savage running on tape from 7 to 10 P.M. instead of the current 10 P.M.-1 A.M.
