I can’t confirm it myself, but the Hawaii Radio & Television Guide says that KORL’s HD-4 (!) subchannel and its affiliated translator (K246BR) recently went from Classic Hip-Hop “Hot 97.1” to ’80s Hits “Retro 97.1”. The related website (http://korl971.com) still shows the old format; however, the site appears to be somewhat gutted or abandoned (unlike those for its sisters).
Also, it may just be a rebranding, but Lethbridge, Alta.’s CFRV has gone from “The River” to “Kiss”.
I had heard that the 97.1 Honolulu flip had taken place a couple months ago, but had never been able to confirm the new format.
