Nedved Media is acquiring Riverfront Broadcasting’s three stations in Mitchell SD for $3.35 million. The local group held by Nancy and Steve Medved will acquire News/Talk 1490 KORN, Country “92.1 Korn Country” KORN-FM, and Hot AC “Q107” 107.3 KQRN Mitchell. The Nedveds will begin operating the cluster via LMA on January 1.
Larry & Pamela Nelson are transferring controlling interest in their seven Illinois stations to their children Douglas Nelson and Jennifer Beckman in exchange for control of WSPY TV Inc., the licensee of 96.9 W245CE Morris IL. Douglas Nelson and Jennifer Beckman will gain control of Dekalb County Broadcasters’ Oldies 1180 WSCR Sycamore and News/Talk 1360 WLBK Dekalb, Grundy County Broadcasters’ AC 95.7 WJDK-FM Seneca, and Classic Hits simulcast 1550 WCSJ/103.1 WCSJ-FM Morris, Nelson Enterprises’ AC 107.1 WSPY-FM Plano, and Nelson Multi-Media Standards 1480 WSPY Geneva.
Super Waves LLC sells Silent 94.1 WLZT Worthington IN to Mid-America Radio Group for $70,000.
Monte Spearman’s High Plains Radio Network acquires Lake Country Radio’s Country 95.9 KCKL Malakoff and Christian AC 1410 KLVQ/94.5 K233BE Athens TX for $250,000.
High Plains Radio Network also purchases Pilgrim Communications’ Silent 1450 KSKE Buena Vista CO for $35,000.
Johnson Broadcast Ventures sells Gospel 1230 WCBT Roanoke Rapids NC to Jimmie Bell’s Bell Media Broadcasting for $150,000.
The previously announced donation of Catholic 91.9 WSMJ North Wildwood NJ to Domestic Church Media was filed with the FCC. Domestic Church Media will operate WSMJ as a satellite of Catholic 1260 WFJS Trenton.
