iHeartMedia has appointed Mark Fuhrman, no not that one, as Area President overseeing their stations in Huntington, Parkersburg and Wheeling WV.
Fuhrman joins iHeart from IMG College where he served as General Manager overseeing all sports marketing for Marshall University. Most of his career has been spent in sports marketing including ten years as Vice President of Sales & Marketing for the Atlanta Blaze of Major League Lacrosse, ten years as General Manager of Comcast Sports Southeast and working in the marketing departments of the NFL, Atlanta Falcons, and Pittsburgh Steelers. He will report to Tim McAleer, President of iHeartMedia’s Pittsburgh Region.
iHeartMedia West Virginia announced today that Mark Fuhrman has been named Area President in the Pittsburgh/West Virginia Region, effective immediately. iHeartMedia West Virginia has a strong cross-platform presence and includes a number of iconic brands and franchises – both broadcast and digital – encompassing 22 radio stations comprised of music, talk and news formats.
iHeartMedia has massive consumer reach and influence across multiple platforms and delivers more live programming than any other media company. As Area President, Fuhrman will work with the programming, business and sales teams for radio station brands in Huntington, Parkersburg and Wheeling, West Virginia to oversee on-air and digital programming as well as create new business and revenue opportunities. He will report to Tim McAleer, President of iHeartMedia’s Pittsburgh Region.

Fuhrman joins iHeartMedia from IMG College, where he served as General Manager and managed Thundering Herd Sports Marketing for Marshall University in West Virginia. Previously, he was Vice President of Sales & Marketing for the Major League Lacrosse expansion franchise Atlanta Blaze and spent 10 years as Vice President/General Manager of Comcast Sports Southeast regional sports television network in Atlanta. Fuhrman also spent several years in the National Football League, initially joining the organization in 1994 as Director of Club Marketing for the League office and later serving as Director of Marketing for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Director of Sales & Marketing for the Atlanta Falcons. He has also held various positions with Procter & Gamble, Gallo Winery and Miller Brewing Company’s Sports Group. Fuhrman is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh.
