Ryan Seacrest has been tapped to become Kelly Ripa’s new co-host on the nationally syndicated Live With Kelly television program.
Seacrest will be relocating to New York, but will continue to host the morning show for iHeartMedia CHR 102.7 KIIS-FM Los Angeles and his nationally syndicated On Air with Ryan Seacrest and American Top 40. Variety reports that a new studio for Seacrest will be built at the studios of WABC-TV where Live With Kelly & Ryan, as the television show will now be called, originates.
To make the logistics of the time overlap between the television show airing from 9-10am and the first hour of the radio show, the first hour in Los Angeles will mostly be pre-recorded or led by co-host Sisanie.
Thanks!
I was wondering if Ryan Seacrest’s daily morning radio show would even continue.
I didn’t know that On Air with Ryan Seacrest was a morning show, considering that the show is usually syndicated on many stations as a midday show from 10 A.M (usually following the other station’s morning show) to 2. P.M. As with Elvis Duran, I don’t think Ryan Seacrest would have the same monopoly over the midday slot for his show.
The show originates from 102.7 KIIS FM from 5a-10a Pacific time. What all the other iHeart stations get is customized voicetracks that can be inserted into the respective affiliates’ regular music playlist.
I understand. But like I said before, I don’t think Ryan Seacrest would have a monopoly over a station’s mid-day programming timeslot, where his show will be heard on all of iHeartMedia’s Top 40 stations. If he did, then I would lost the commercial free blocks that I listen to on 3 of iHeartMedia’s stations.
Nathan gets what you mean, Mike. The good majority of iHeart’s Top 40 stations, however, do air Seacrest in middays. Not every one of them, but most of them.

Well Apparently KIIS-FM Seacrest’s flagship station is mentioning that Idol could do auditions at Walt Disney World in this article.
