Robert and Tor Ingstad are breaking up their Last Frontier Mediactive group in Fairbanks AK.
Tor Ingstad Licenses will pay $361,390 to acquire Sports “ESPN 820” KCBF, Country “Wild 94.3” KWDD, and CHR “K-Wolf 98.1” KWLF Fairbanks. Tor will also purchase Classic Country “93.5 Chet-FM” KDJF Ester from Tanana Valley Radio for $275,000. Tor Ingstad owns 50% of Basin Mediactive’s cluster in Klamath Falls OR and nineteen stations in Iowa and Minnesota under the names Ingstad Brothers Broadcasting and Iowa City Broadcasting.
Rob Ingstad Licenses will receive News/Talk 660 KFAR, Rock “X-Rock 95.9” KXLR Fairbanks, and Variety Hits “103.9 Ted-FM” KTDZ College for the same $361,390 price. Rob will also add Tanana Valley Radio’s other station Classic Rock “FM 96.9” KYSC Fairbanks for $275,000. Rob owns the other 50% of Basin Mediactive with brother Tor as well as 25% of I3G Radio’s pair of stations in Lisbon ND.
Richard Anderson’s Livingstone Broadcasting sells Christian 107.1 WLIR-FM Hampton Bays NY to 49% minority owner Vincent Trapiani’s VMT Media for the assumption of debt and a non-compete agreement. VMT agrees to not compete with Livingstone’s “Hope Radio” Christian format for three years. The Hope format will continue on three translators via 106.1 WBLI-HD2.
Educational Media Foundation sells 94.9 WEKV South Webster OH to Somerset Educational Broadcasting Foundation for $130,000. WEKV will rebroadcast “King of Kings Radio” 90.5 WTHL Somerset KY. 75% of the proceeds of this sale will go to Northern Kentucky University as part of its sale of 104.1 WNKE New Boston OH to EMF.
Roland Rusticus is dropping his stake in Urban “GR 94.9” 1530 WYGR Wyoming and 94.9 W235BN Grand Rapids MI from 65% to 10%. Scott Pastoor will increase his stake from 35% to 55% and become Managing Partner for $123,000. Eric Mills will purchase a 35% stake for $213,000.
Gary Ware and James Turvaville’s Route 66 Media acquires the license for 103.9 KBPD Wheeler TX from Davis Broadcast Company for $6000. No station equipment is included in the deal. KBPD will form a duopoly with Classic Country “Legends 92.9” KSNZ Shamrock.
