Red Zebra Broadcasting continues its sell-off with the divestment of “Sportstalk 570” WSPZ Bethesda MD/Washington DC to Edward Atsinger and Stu Epperson’s AM 570 LLC for $2.1 million. While being purchased by the CEO and two directors of Salem Media, the station will not be owned directly by the company.
High Plains Radio Network purchases James Moser’s Palo Pinto Communications’ four stations in Breckenridge and Graham TX for $300,000. The stations involved are News/Talk 1430 KROO Breckenridge/1330 KSWA Graham, Country “93.5 K-Lakes” KLXK Breckenridge, and Classic Hits “Q94.7” KWKQ Graham.
William Pollack acquires Talk 1590 WCGO Evanston/Chicago IL for $3 million. Pollack owns Talk/Shopping 1280 WBIG Aurora and 1410 WRMN Elgin in the Chicago suburbs.
CSSI Non-Profit Educational Broadcasting Corporation sells 89.1 KSQX Springtown and 89.1 KQXS Stephenville TX to Brazos TV LLC. for $450,000.
AJG Corporation reacquires Classic Hits 1300 WCLG and Rock 100.1 WCLG-FM Morgantown WV from Bowers Broadcasting Corporation for $1.8 million. AJG had previously agreed to purchase the stations in 2013 for the same amount but the deal never closed, although it has been operating the stations via Time Brokerage Agreement since then.
John Timms’ Central Georgia Radio purchases four stations and one translator from Georgia Eagle Media for $150,000. The stations involved are Country “KMA 93.1” WWKM Rochelle, Standards 98.3 WCEH-FM Pinehurst/610 WCEH Hawkinsville, and Hot AC “96Q” 1440 WDXQ/96.7 W244CL Cochran GA.
Creal Broadcasting sells Classic Hits 1560 WKDO and Classic Country 98.7 WKDO-FM Liberty KY to Michael and Laura Harris’ Shoreline Communications for $395,000.
Choice Radio Central sells AC 102.7 WOKH Springfield KY to Bardstown Radio Team LLC for $400,000. The buyers will pair it with their Country 1320 WBRT Bardstown.
Educational Media Foundation sells Spanish Christian 96.3 KRNQ Keokuk IA to Community Broadcasting for $125,000.
After taking the station silent in March, WFLI Inc. sells 1070 WFLI Lookout Mountain/Chattanooga TN to Tri-State Radio for $100,000. Tri-State Radio co-owner Evan Stone owns News/Talk 1420 WKWN Trenton GA.
The Call Inc. acquires 88.3 KSYE Carter OK from Top O’ Texas Educational Broadcasting for $10,000.
Penfold Communications donates Silent 89.3 WJIK Fulton AL to Jimmy Swaggart’s Family Worship Center Church for no consideration.
