iHeartMedia Hot AC “102.9 Now” KDMX Dallas has appointed Kannon to host afternoons.
Kannon, who also currently hosts the syndicated Open House Party, previously hosted mornings at Cumulus CHR “i93.3” KLIF-FM and then CBS’ 103.7 KVIL in the Dallas market. He’s also worked at “95.5 The Beat” WBTS Atlanta and “Wired 96.5” WRDW-FM Philadelphia.
Kannon replaces Chris Davis, who was voicetracking afternoons at KDMX from his base at 97.9 WNCI Columbus OH.
iHeartMedia’s 102.9 Now, Music Variety for Dallas/Ft. Worth, announced today that local on-air personality Kannon will host the station’s afternoon drive programming, effective June 1. Kannon will broadcast weekdays from 2 – 7 p.m.
Kannon’s interactive afternoon show will discuss the latest entertainment news and trends in pop culture. Listeners can expect to hear a variety of music from artists including Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Maroon 5, Ed Sheeran, The Chainsmokers and more.

Kannon began his career in radio at the age of 15 in Raleigh, N.C. He most recently served as morning co-host at KVIL in Dallas/Ft. Worth. He also previously served as morning show host at KLIF and mix show DJ in Boston for the nationally syndicated program, Open House Party. He has worked in markets such as Raleigh, Portland, Atlanta and Philadelphia.
