The changes at CBS Radio Philadelphia continues as ‘Cadillac Jack’ Seville exits afternoons at Classic Hits 98.1 WOGL after nine years as part of deeper cuts at the cluster.
Cadillac Jack had been with WOGL since 2004 and moved from weekends/swing to afternoons in September 2008 following the passing of Big Ron O’Brien. During his career he has also hosted nights at “Pirate Radio 100.3” KQLZ Los Angeles and 105.1 WAVA Washington DC, afternoons at “Eagle 106” WEGX Philadelphia, and mornings at CHR “FM 97” WLAN and Country “I105” WIOV-FM Lancaster PA.
Deville’s was apparently one of a few cuts in the CBS Radio Philadelphia cluster. Tom Taylor Now reports that two unnamed Promotions Directors, Sales Manager, and a jock at Country 92.5 WXTU were also let go.
These departures follows the exit of longtime WOGL Program Director Anne Gress and promotion of WTDY-FM PD Bobby Smith to that role and Shelly Easton to VP/Music Programming of CBS Radio Philadelphia.
Reports today from, at least, Tom Taylor and RAMP name Ron Cade (overnights on WOGL) and Jennifer Reed (nights on WXTU) as among those who were cut.
“We’re #1! Let’s gut the place! Last one out, shut down the place. And don’t forget to turn off the lights.”
