Overseen by 103.7 WSOC Program Director DJ Stout, the new station is built around all-things Southern. From reading the press release and looking at their website, looks like they don’t want anyone to know the station is also available on AM 1660, only the FM translator. How sad.
Lately this is more the norm. Most music stations that use their AM frequency to get a FM translator only mention the AM frequency once an hour and only do that because they are required to do it.
It’s not that conspicuously linked, but the official Recently Played list is at http://947smoke.com/stream/WBCNAM.
If the station launched yesterday (Monday) at about 9:00 a.m., then the first song played apparently was Let It Burn, by Blackberry Smoke.
It launched three hours earlier.
