Norsan Communications is expanding to Charleston SC with the purchase of Spanish CHR “El Sol” 980 WAZS Summerville/103.9 W280EX North Charleston and 1480 WZJY Mount Pleasant/95.7 W239AL Fernandina Beach FL and two low-power TV stations in the market from Thomas Daniels’ Jabar Communications for $850,000. Norsan owns stations in Charlotte NC, Columbia SC, and Jacksonville FL.
In a deal not yet filed with the FCC, Capps Broadcast Group is selling its six stations in Pendleton OR and Walla Walla WA to Randy McKone’s Elkhorn Media Group for an undisclosed amount. The stations involved in the deal are: Classic Hits “92.1 Party-FM” KUMA-FM Pilot Rock, Country “103.5 K-Wheat” KWHT Pendleton, CHR “Hot 107.7” KWVN Pendleton, Sports “1240/103.1 The Ticket” KTIX/K276GF Pendleton, News/Talk 1290 KUMA Pendleton, and Sports “ESPN Walla Walla” 1490 KTEL Walla Walla/99.7 K259CR Milton-Freewater.

Roger Wright’s Prospect Communications swaps 103.5 W278CH Muscle Shoals AL from Edgewater Broadcasting in exchange for 120 months of free tower lease for their 88.5 WZXX Lawrenceburg TN. W278CH already rebroadcasts Wright’s 98.3 WLXA Loretto TN.
Resort Radio sells 107.7 W299CB Manistee MI to Smile FM for $18,000. W299CB will rebroadcast Smile FM’s Christian AC “Smile-FM” WSMZ Crystal Valley.
Good Music Inc. agrees to purchase 99.1 K256CJ and 107.5 K298BZ Sierra Vista AZ for $10,000. The buyer states that one of the translators will be used to rebroadcast their Christian “Good Message 1470” KNXN Sierra Vista.
