Binnie Media flipped News/Talk “99.1 NH1 News” WNNH Henniker/Concord NH to Oldies using Scott Shannon’s True Oldies Channel this morning.
The end of the NH1 Radio brand comes after Binnie sold the flagship of the “NH1” brand’s WBIN-TV spectrum in the FCC incentive auction and then the license to Univision. Additionally, Binnie has begun operating News/Talk 107.7 WTPL Hillsboro/Concord via LMA following the acquisition of the station and two others by Lakes Media. Lakes Media is run by Binnie VP/Engineering Dirk Nadon.
The format change to Oldies is a return to the station’s heritage as WNNH carried Oldies programming from its sign-on in 1989 until 2007.
Not completely surprised.
