Midwest Communications has announced a series of staff additions at AC “Mix 92.9” WJXA and CHR “i106.7” WNFN Nashville.
Brandon O’Brien and Ricki Smith join WJXA for mornings where they will be paired with remaining Producer/Co-host Clint Redwine starting August 21. O’Bried was most recently Program Director at Country “US 106.1” WUSH Poquoson/Norfolk VA, while Smith co-hosted mornings at Hubbard Variety Hits “106.5 The Arch” WARH St. Louis. They fill the opening created by Kim Leslie’s exit in March. Morning co-host Anna Marie will move to nights. Current WNFN midday host Butter will move to 10am-12pm at WJXA in addition to retaining his duties as WNFN’s Assistant Program Director/Music Director and adding duties as videographer for Midwest’s three Nashville stations.
Replacing Butter in middays at WNFN is Kage Sanderson. Kage recently joined “i106.7” for nights from iHeartMedia’s Nashville cluster where she served as Assistant Digital PD and on-air host at Alternative “Alt 97.5” W248BQ and CHR “107.5 The River” WRVW. The night slot will be filled by JR Ramsey who most recently hosted that shift for Townsquare Media CHR “Q97.9” WJBQ Portland ME.
