SLC Divestiture Trust II has announced the sale of 107.1 KEGH Woodruff/Salt Lake City UT to Michael Call’s Aerostar Communications for $1.1 Million.
This follows a failed 2015 sale of the station to Nicolas Vicente’s AASAA Media for $1.8 million. Following the failed closing of the station this past April, the station dropped its simulcast of Regional Mexican “La Raza 1550” KMRI West Valley City and went silent. Call is also President of Mav Media, which owns Regional Mexican “104.7 Mi Preferida” KNIV Lymon WY/Salt Lake City and began operating KEGH as Spanish AC “Placer 107.1” earlier this month.
Aerostar Communications, LLC, a Utah Limited Liability Company, Michael V. Call Manager has entered into an agreement to purchase KEGH-FM (Woodruff, UT) along with associated booster stations KEGH-FM1 (Ogden, UT), KEGH-FM2 (Bountiful, UT), KEGH-FM3 (Salt Lake City, UT), KEGH-FM4 (Provo, UT) from SLC Divestiture Trust II, James Burgoyne, Trustee. Purchase price is $1,100,000 cash.
KEGH-FM has been in the SLC Divestiture Trust II for 6 years. It was part of the Simmons Media Group Inc. required divestiture of stations in the Salt Lake market. Michael V.
Call also has interest in Mav Radio Holdings Inc. license of KNIV-FM (Lyman, Wyoming) serving the Salt Lake-Ogden-Provo market.
A previous deal with AASAA Media LLC was approved by FCC in June of 2016 but did not close. Aerostar Communications, LLC is currently operating KEGH-FM under and LMA.
