As Meruelo Media combines the operations of Classic Hip-Hop 93.5 KDAY Redondo Beach/Los Angeles and Rhythmic CHR “Wild 93.5” KDEY Ontario CA into the facilities of recently acquired “Power 106” 105.9 KPWR Los Angeles, the company has begun to combine the management of the three stations.
KPWR VP/Programming Jimmy Steal will add day-to-day programming duties for KDAY and KDEY replacing Adiran ‘AD’ Scott, who exits the company. Steal previously served as VP/Programming for Emmis Communications prior to the sale of KPWR to Meruelo earlier this year. KPWR Vice President of Marketing Dianna Jason will also include KDAY and KDEY in her responsibilities.
Meruelo Media previously announced that KPWR General Manager Val Maki would take on Market Manager duties overseeing all of the company’s Los Angeles properties.
