Tomsun Media has flipped Oldies “Cruisin 1540” WTKM Hartford WI to what is best described as Upbeat Variety Hits as “Party 92.9” as the station launches its FM translator 92.9 W225CP Hartford.
Operating under new WPTT call letters, the station covers the western Milwaukee suburbs in the areas around Brookfield, Menomonee Falls, and Sussex. A similar format and Party identity was heard in the market on 1290 WZTI Greenfield/100.3 W262CJ Milwaukee for eight months in 2015.
The station describes itself on its Facebook page as:
ALL PARTY ALL THE TIME! Party 92.9 plays only upbeat music…It’s like the wedding reception that doesn’t end! Enjoy music from Huey Lewis, Michael Jackson and Madonna all the way to The Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry & everything in between!!
The new WPTT is streaming here.
FYI it is very 80s based, and while grade A covers the western ‘burbs… it does make it near downtown in the car. I work downtown and it comes in fine. This is a lot more pop/rock based, while the old “Party” that MRA put out was more rhythmic oldies based.
