Tom Joyner To Fly Into Retirement In 2019

Tom Joyner Morning Show RetirementReach Media syndicated morning host Tom Joyner has announced his upcoming retirement in 2019.

Joyner has hosted The Tom Joyner Morning Show in syndication since 1994. Previously he earned the nickname “The Fly Jock” as he would host mornings for 104.5 KKDA-FM Dallas and then fly to Chicago every day to do afternoons at 107.5 WGCI for eight years. The Tom Joyner Morning Show currently airs on over 80 stations nationwide.

Joyner and David Kantor founded Reach Media in 2003 to take over distribution of the Tom Joyner Morning Show from ABC Radio Networks and add additional programming. Controlling stake was sold to Radio-One in 2004, who then increased their stake to 80% in 2012.
