Entercom made another move on Friday evening as newly acquired Country 94.1 KMPS Seattle dropped its format for Christmas Music.
The move makes KMPS the third all-Christmas station in the market joining Hubbard AC “Warm 106.9” KRWM which made the move earlier in the week and Sinclair AC “Star 101.5” KPLZ which made its second annual move to “Santa-FM” yesterday.
It also leaves its new Entercom sister station “100.7 The Wolf” KKWF as the only Country outlet in the market leading to inmarket rumors starting that the current KMPS staff had been let go and the station will debut a new format after the holidays. While a format change can not be ruled out yet, we can debunk the rumor that the staff had been let go yesterday. The station is running jockless but nobody has been let go yet as verified by midday host Deanna Lee on Facebook.
They blew it up for Soft AC “94.1 The Sound.”
