After closing on his deal to purchase the 75% of Broadcast South that he did not already own, John Higgs has started 2018 by swapping formats at two of his stations in the Douglas/Waycross GA market on Monday.
Classic Rock “93.5 The Eagle” WVOH-FM Nicholls moved its format to 101.9 WPNG Pearson as “101.9 The Rocket” with new “Everything That Rocks” positioning. The John Boy & Billy morning show and afternoon host Paul Sullivan moved along with the format.
Meanwhile CHR “Shine 101.9” WPNG moved in reverse to 93.5 under the new “93.5 Vibe-FM” branding. WVOH-FM is positioning as “Your Hot Hits and Throwbacks Station” and has added Matt Baldridge and Ashelyn McQuaig for mornings.
Baldridge and McQuaig will continue to host afternoons at sister Country “106.7 The Buck” WOKA-FM Douglas and DouglasNow.com reports that Baldridge has also been appointed Managing Partner for Broadcast South.
