Nearly a year to the day after debuting as a younger skewing Urban AC, Entercom’s “Hot 103.7” 1350 WWWL/103.7 W279DF New Orleans relaunched with Classic R&B on Valentines Day at 12pm.
Focusing on R&B from the 1970s and 80s, the station is now attacking iHeartMedia Urban AC 98.5 WYLD-FM and Cumulus Media’s “Old School 106.7” KMEZ from the older end as opposed to the younger. No airstaff changes were made as Big Abe remains in mornings and Suga Rae in middays.
The first hour of the new version of Hot 103.7 consisted of:
- McFadden & Whitehead – Ain’t No Stoppin’ Us Now
- New Edition – Cool It Now
- Michael Jackson – Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough
- El DeBarge – Love Me In a Special Way
- Eu – Doin Da Butt
- Stevie Wonder – That Girl
- Al Green – Love and Happiness
- Dennis Edwards – Don’t Look Any Further
- Bobby Brown – Don’t Be Cruel
- Maze – Joy and Pain
- Marvin Gaye – Let’s Get It On
- Midnight Star – Slow Jam
- Dazz Band – Let It Whip
- Rufus – Sweet Thing
