Entercom Classic Hip-Hop “104.3 Jams” WBMX Chicago has picked up its first on-air host as Julian ‘Jumpin’ Perez will host nights from 7pm-12am starting Thursday, March 15.
Perez is a longtime mixer in the Chicago market as a member of the “Hot Mix Five” on the original 102.7 WBMX in the 1980s and founder of the “B96 Street Mix” in the 1990s. He also hosted nights at “B96” WBBM-FM in the 90s.

Jim Mantel has announced his intent to retire from mornings at Dick Broadcasting Country 95.1 WRNS-FM Kinston/New Bern NC later this spring. Mantel has hosted mornings at WRNS-FM since 2010 and alongside Crystal Legends since 2012. He is best known for his 18 year run in mornings at iHeartMedia’s 99.5 WGAR in his hometown of Cleveland. Mantel was inducted into the Country Radio Hall of Fame in 2017.
