Seven Mountains Media has closed on its $285,000 acquisition of AC “Yes-FM” 96.9 WVYS Ridgebury/107.3 W297BG Ulster PA from GEOS Communications and has flipped them to a simulcast of “Bigfoot Country 104.5” WNBT-FM Wellsboro.
The newly minted “Bigfoot 104 – 107 – 96” expands it coverage to cover Sayre and Waverly as well as portions of the Elmira NY market. With the closing of the sale and format change, WVYS has changed call letters to WZBF. The former AC format continues on 103.9 WDYS Dushore PA, which was not included in the sale.
Seven Mountains Media operates four unique “Bigfoot Country” simulcasts across ten frequencies in Central Pennsylvania.
Enough is enough. Is there any other buyer out there for rural Pennsylvania? If it’s not a Bigfoot it’s a related Froggy. How original.
I’m surprised how many stations this company has bought in my market. Thankfully they are all ran well. I live in State College and all of the stations Seven Mountains owns are very good. Locally staffed, tons of music in the playlist, and lots of community involvement unlike iHeart/Cumulus stations.
