In addition to the previously announced sale of 940 KGMS Tucson to Robert Wilkins’ Tucson Christian Radio, Good News Broadcasting is selling two other Tucson market stations.
Tucson Christian Radio will pay $350,000 for KGMS. Meanwhile Conservative Talk “1030 The Voice” KVOI Cortaro will go to Bustos Media for $500,000 and 88.1 KLTU Mammoth goes to Educational Media Foundation for $100,000. KLTU is already carrying EMF’s “K-Love” Christian AC programming.
Good News Broadcasting also owns Standards 690 KCEE Tucson.
Original Report 7/20: Robert Wilkins’ Tucson Christian Radio has announced it will acquire Christian Preaching 940 KGMS Tucson AZ from Good News Communications for an undisclosed amount.
Wilkins operates Wilkins Radio Network that owns 22 Christian Preaching stations across the country. Kalil & Co. served as the broker for the deal.
This is to announce that a contract has been signed and an application is being filed with the FCC for the transfer of radio station KGMS-AM, Tucson, Arizona, from Good News Communications, Inc. to Tucson Christian Radio, Inc.
The Seller, Good News Communications, Inc., is an Arizona-based company headed by Doug and Mary Martin.
The Buyer, Tucson Christian Radio, Inc., is a North Carolina-based company headed by Robert Wilkins.
KGMS-AM operates at 940 kHz, with 1 kW day and 0.25 kW night.
