Hall Communications has dropped ESPN Radio from 1340 WNBH New Bedford MA and flipped the station to Classic Hits “Big 101.3” with the launch of translator 101.3 W267CY New Bedford.
WNBH will focus on hits of the 70s through 90s with core artists listed as Prince, Madonna, Billy Joel, Michael Jackson, Bon Jovi, Huey Lewis & The News and Janet Jackson. Bob Walker, VP of Programming for Hall’s Providence and New Bedford’s propertied will serve as Program Director for WNBH in addition to Country “Cat Country 98.1” WCTK.
WNBH fills a Classic Hits opening created in the market by iHeartMedia’s downgrade of “B101” 101.5 WWBB Providence from a Class B to Class A in 2015 reducing its coverage in the adjacent New Bedford market.
With the dropping of ESPN Radio from the cluster, 1450 WPVD West Warwick/Providence RI has flipped to a simulcast of WCTK.
Hall Communications announces the addition of a new FM frequency for 1340 WNBH-AM in New Bedford, MA, at FM translator 101.3. Following the launch of the new live FM frequency, WNBH dropped talk programming and launched “Big 101.3” on Monday at noon. “Big 101.3” will play Classic Hits from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. Core artists include Prince, Madonna, Billy Joel, Michael Jackson, Bon Jovi, Huey Lewis & The News and Janet Jackson, among others.
