Entercom has announced the appointment of Matthew Malone as Program Director of Alternative “FM 101.9” WQMP Daytona Beach/Orlando FL.
Malone joins WQMP from Cumulus Media’s “X105.1” KCJK Kansas City where he served as APD/MD/evening host. He has also served as APD/afternoon host of “New Rock 107.3” KURQ San Luis Obispo and worked on-air at “FM 102.1” WLUM Milwaukee.
WQMP had been programmed by John O’Connell, PD of Country “99.9 Kiss Country” WKIS and Alternative “104.3 The Shark” WSFS Miami since September 2018.

Prior to joining Entercom, Malone served as Assistant Program Director and Music Director for KCJK-FM in Kansas City. He has also served as a programming assistant for WLS-FM in Chicago, on-air personality for WLUM-FM in Milwaukee and Assistant Program Director KURQ-FM in San Luis Obispo, CA.
