Beasley Media Group AC “Sunny 106.3” WJPT Fort Myers has found a replacement for former Program Director Matt Mangas in Matt Managas.
Mangas moved from programming and hosting mornings at WJPT in April to move over to sister Classic Rock “96 K-Rock” WRXK as PD/midday host. At the time the company announced the hiring of Chris Randolph to replace Mangas at WJPT, but he had a change of heart and never started with the company. Mangas will now program both stations.
But he will be joined by Ralph Marino, who joins WJPT as APD/morning host. Marino joins Beasley from Cape Cod Broadcasting where he was hosting mornings at Hot AC 99.9 WQRC and middays at “Cape Country 104” WKPE-FM. He also did weekend and fill-in hosting at Beasley’s “Country 102.5” WKLB Boston. Marino has also worked at WJMN and WQSX Boston, WERZ Portsmouth NH, and WKTU and WQHT New York during his career.
Matt Mangas has officially returned to programming duty at Beasley Media Group’s WJPT-FM, while maintaining his role as Program Director (PD) and Midday Host on WRXK in Southwest Florida.
He has been with the Ft. Myers radio cluster since he joined the company as an On-Personality in October of 2017.
“Matt has been serving as Program Director for both stations in the interim and has been doing a tremendous job. It was an easy decision for us,” said Operations Manager Adam Star.
“Brad Beasley and Adam Star have shown a tremendous amount of confidence in me,” said Mangas. “I’m surrounded by great talent on both stations and look forward to continuing as PD for Sunny 106.3 as well as jumping back into the rock world at 96K-Rock!”

“Ralph’s great attitude and major market delivery is exactly what we were looking for Morning Drive on WJPT,” said station Operations Manager, Adam Star. “We are very excited to have him come down from our Boston cluster and join the Fort Myers team!”
