The fourth and final day of Nielsen Audio’s PPM releases for June 2019 bring Austin, Raleigh/Durham, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Nashville, Providence, Norfolk, Jacksonville, West Palm Beach, Greensboro, Memphis, and Hartford.
All the numbers can be found at RadioInsight.com/Ratings.
Numbers of note include:
- In its first monthly after its flip from CHR, Cumulus Rock “93.9X” WNDX Indianapolis debuts with a 2.8 share up from a 1.3 as “Energy 93.9“. The move took half a share from iHeartMedia Classic Rock “Q95” WFBQ which dropped 7.2 to 6.7, but Alternative “Alt 103.3” WOLT rose 3.4 to 3.6.
- On the CHR side, Cumulus’ 99.5 WZPL rose from a 5.8 to 6.2 with the demise of WYRG while Urban One “Radio Now 100.9” WNOW-FM was up 3.1 to 3.2. The move of the syndicated Bert Show from WYRG to Hot AC “107.9 The Mix” WNTR did not help as that station plummeted from a 5.0 to 3.9.
- The biggest gain of the month goes to iHeartMedia Urban “93.3 The Beat” WJBT Jacksonville with a 4.6 to 6.0 rise.
- Another big gainer was iHeartMedia Spanish CHR “Mia 92.1” WRLX West Palm Beach with a 2.0 to 3.2 move.
- In its final monthly before flipping to Mainstream CHR last week, Hubbard’s “Beatz 96.3” W242CI West Palm Beach went out with a 1.0 share.
- Biggest drop of the month goes to Cumulus Sports “104.5 The Zone” WGFX Nashville as it goes from a 4.2 to 2.7. Just behind it was Entercom AC “2WD” 101.3 WWDE Norfolk with a 5.8 to 4.4 drop.
- The FM Sports war in Milwaukee continues to take much time to develop. The addition of Steve Czaban in mornings has helped iHeartMedia’s “97.3 The Game” WRNW to trend up 0.3 – 0.6 – 0.8 while Good Karma’s “ESPN 94.5” WKTI and Entercom’s “105.7 The Game” 1250 WSSP both dropped from a 1.0 to 0.6.
“Big launch?” 18 to 16? Maybe for WKRP.
