Following the closing of its $3 million purchase of 102.9 KFNY Centralia/Tacoma WA from iHeartMedia’s Ocean States Trust, Bustos Media has made the station the primary Seattle signal for its Spanish CHR “La Z” network.
Now operating under the KZTM call letters, 102.9 and 103.3 KZNW Oak Harbor give the brand an FM signal throughout most of the entire I-5 corridor in Washington state. The network, pronounced La Zeta, had been heard on Bustos Media’s 1210 KMIA Seattle until this month. KMIA has become the third affiliate of Bustos’ Regional Mexican “La Pantera” network joining 95.1 KSND Monmouth/Salem OR and 101.7 KZXR-FM Prosser WA.
From the time iHeartMedia placed the station in the trust following its acquisition of some of the divestitures from the Entercom/CBS Radio merger until the closing of the sale at the end of June, 102.9 KFNY carried filler Smooth Jazz programming
