iHeartRadio Launches Sports Portal

iHeartRadio App iHeartMediaFollowing Entercom’s introduction of “Radio.com Sports” earlier this year, iHeartMedia is following suit with “iHeartRadio Sports“.

At launch, the portal features streaming links to Fox Sports Radio and iHeartMedia’s 570 KLAC Los Angeles, “100.3 KFAN” KFXN Minneapolis, and “The Gambler” 1480 WDAS Philadelphia and podcasts including The Herd with Colin Cowherd, Sports Wars, 3 and Out with John MiddleKauff, and Outkick the Coverage with Clay Travis.

iHeartMedia, the leading audio company in America which also has a greater reach in the U.S. than any other media outlet and the No. 1 podcast publisher globally according to Podtrac, today announced the launch of “iHeartRadio Sports,” a new website that lets listeners find the leading broadcast Sports radio stations, top Sports podcasts and latest Sports news in one place.

Through “iHeartRadio Sports,” sports fans can choose from more than 195 live broadcast and digital stations including FOX Sports Radio; AM 570 LA Sports, Home of Dodgers Radio & Los Angeles Sports; FOX Sports The Gambler in Philadelphia; KFAN FM 100.3 – Minneapolis/St. Paul – The Sports Leader; and others. In addition, they can listen to episodes from more than 25,000 sports podcasts including The Herd with Colin Cowherd, 3 and Out with John MiddleKauff, Outkick the Coverage with Clay Travis, Sports Wars and more.

FOX Sports Radio, a division of Premiere Networks in partnership with FOX Sports, reaches more than 15 million monthly listeners on more than 500 affiliates. It has the biggest hosts in sports and entertainment, including Colin Cowherd, Dan Patrick, Clay Travis, Doug Gottlieb, Rich Eisen, Chris Broussard, Rob Parker and R.J. Bell. In August, FOX Sports Radio’s podcasts reached 10.3 million total monthly listens, marking back-to-back months that the network has surpassed the 10 million milestone.

    I’m surprised that more iHeart-owned local Sports stations (e.g., KJR, KGME, WDAE, and WRNW) aren’t highlighted on that main page.
