A Notice of Violation was issued to the University of Toledo’s 88.3 WXUT Toledo OH following a complaint filed to the FCC about the station’s operating schedule. The FCC found that WXUT failed to file an STA when it was off the air from February through July of this year due to a failed transmitter. They also failed to notify the FCC that it was allowing time-share partner 88.3 WXTS-FM Toledo to operate 24/7 during that timeframe.
Seaview Communications Gospel 90.9 WPEX Kenbridge VA was issued a $15,000 penalty and a two year license renewal as opposed to eight for failing to prepare required quarterly issues and programs lists and failing to upload this information into the station’s online public inspection file.
Deletions
Wabash Communications’ 1360 WVMC Mount Carmel IL has been deleted after not responding to an FCC letter requesting confirmation of its status and proving its operation since January 2015. WVMC had previously seen it license deleted in 2010 when its Chief Operator surrendered its license, which was overturned in 2017 after a long dispute with whether he had the opportunity to do so. However at the time of the restoration of the license, the station had accumulated delinquent debt and owner Kevin Williams was sentenced to ten years in prison.
Farmworker Educational Radio Network has requested the cancellation of its license of its booster 96.7 KYLI-FM1 Sunrise Manor NV.
