SummitMedia has announced the promotion of Beverlee Brannigan to Senior Vice President of Programming for the company while Todd Johnson rises to her former position as President/General Manager of the company’s Wichita cluster.
Brannigan previously served as VP/Radio Programming for Journal Broadcast Group and Scripps Radio. She began her programming career in 1981 at 92.5 KJJY Des Moines where she would remain for 20 years. She then joined Journal Wichita as Operations Manager in 2002 and would remain there until moving to the company’s Milwaukee cluster in 2012. She moved back to Wichita as General Manager in 2014 and remained through the cluster’s sale to SummitMedia in 2018. Brannigan was inducted into the Country Radio Hall of Fame in 2012.
Todd Johnson joined the current SummitMedia Wichita cluster in 2016 as General Sales Manager. He has previously worked at multiple radio, television and newspapers in the Wichita market including The Wichita Eagle, Steckline Communications and Journal Broadcast Group.
SummitMedia has promoted former Wichita President/GM Beverlee Brannigan to Senior Vice President of Programming for the company as former Wichita General Sales Manager Todd Johnson has been promoted to President/GM for its five Wichita stations.
Brannigan served as President/GM of Wichita for nearly six years and is a veteran programmer. She’s a member of the Country Radio Hall of Fame, has coached CMA Broadcast Personalities of the Year, and programmed KFDI to a CMA Station of the Year Award.

Johnson served as General Sales Manager for the last three years and has over 34 years of sales, marketing and management experience in the Wichita market, starting with KICT-FM in 1986.
