Cumulus Media has promoted Doug MacGunnigle to Program Director of News/Talk 630 WPRO Providence/99.7 WEAN-FM Wakefield-Peacedale RI and Talk 790 WPRV Providence.
MacGunnigle has served as Assistant Program Director of the stations since 2017. He is currently on his third go-round with the stations, where he served as a producer from 2003-2005 and 2006-2011. He returned as Digital Content Director in 2015 and before rising to his now former APD role. He has also worked at iHeartMedia’s 920 WHJJ and AAA Entertainment in the Providence Market.
MacGunnigle fills the position previously held by Neil Larrimore until his exit last September.
CUMULUS MEDIA announces that it has promoted Doug MacGunnigle to Program Director for Providence, RI, News/Talk radio station 99.7FM/630AM WPRO and for sister News/Talk station AM 790/WPRV-AM. MacGunnigle was previously Assistant Program Director for WPRO, a position he has held since October 2017. In his new role, MacGunnigle will be working with newly named Operations Manager for Cumulus Providence, Mary Ellen Kachinske.
