As part of a rollback on part-time hours at Entercom, two big name shows will add weekend shifts for the foreseeable future at Sports 660 WFAN/101.9 WFAN-FM New York and CBS Sports Radio as the network picks up the local schedule.
WFAN part-time host Chris Moore mentioned he is currently off the schedule with Moore writing, “my WFAN shows are suspended for now, as the station, like the rest of the country, struggles with business decisions.”
To fill-in the holes, the station will be adding additional shows hosted by their weekday hosts. While afternoon co-host Evan Roberts already does a weekly Saturday 10am-2pm show, his co-host Joe Benigno will be heard this week from 6-10am in the slot normally held by Neer. The “Boomer & Gio” morning show hosted by Boomer Esiason and Gregg Giannotti will add a Saturday afternoon slot from 2-6pm on WFAN that will also be carried on CBS Sports Radio.
Mike Francesa will add a Sunday morning show from 9am to 1pm which will also be carried nationally by CBS Sports Radio. Francesa used to host in that timeslot during the NFL season for much of his career. The New York Post adds that the entire weekend schedule will air both in New York and on the network and will also include CBS Sports Radio’s Damon ‘DA’ Amendolara, and WFAN’s Moose & Maggie, Steve Somers, John Jastremski, and Sal Licata.
I have received a lot of inquiries, so here goes. I will be broadcasting on WFAN ( and carried on the CBS Radio Network) Sunday mornings 9:00am to 1:00 pm until further notice. The first program will be this coming weekend.
