Lilly Broadcasting CHR “Happi 92.7” WICU-FM Lawrence Park/Erie PA added a simulcast this morning in Warren PA.
Lilly flipped Conservative Talk “News/Talk 96.7” 1310 WICU/96.7 W244DY Warren to a simulcast of their recently acquired CHR.
The company had previously shuffled call letters in preparation of the moves. WICU-FM changed calls from its original WEHP upon closing of its $1.33 million acquisition at the end of 2019. 1310’s heritage WNAE call letters were moved to co-owned “Kinzua Country 104.3” WKNB Clarendon/Warren when it became WICU in early March. The WICU and WICU-FM call letters of “Happi” were selected to match Lilly’s WICU-TV Erie, which is the NBC affiliate for both areas.
Listeners in Warren County can now listen to the Most Hit Music from today’s popular artists.
HAPPI Radio debuted on Warren’s 96.7 FM and 1310 AM Wednesday at midnight. The station is a simulcast of HAPPI 92.7 in Erie, featuring the same music and personalities.
HAPPI plays at least 17 songs per hour – the most you’ll hear on local radio – and always returns to music in three minutes or less. The station also goes commercial-free with three HAPPI hours each day at 9 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
HAPPI also features the region’s only local top 30 music countdown. Choose your three favorite songs online and listen each weekend to see if they made the cut Saturdays 8-10 a.m. and Sundays 5-7 p.m.
You can also listen to HAPPI Radio online at HAPPI927.com, the HAPPI 92.7 app for your Apple or Android device and on Amazon Alexa.
1310 AM also recently changed its call letters to WICU, matching its sister station and simulcast partner HAPPI 92.7 in Erie (WICU-FM) and co-owned television station WICU 12.
The historic call letters WNAE, which have been assigned to 1310 AM since it first signed on in the 1940s, were moved to sister station Kinzua Country 104.3 to preserve their legacy.
HAPPI is locally owned and operated. It is the only radio station serving both Erie and Warren.
